Amgen/BioVex, Woburn, MA


The Richmond Group is working with Amgen/BioVex to expand their cGMP cancer therapy manufacturing facility, more than doubling output capacity. Richmond also lead the pre-construction effort- coordinating design, schedule and budget.


Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge, MA

The Richmond Group is working on the renovation of existing labs and offices for Momenta. The project is multi-phased in occupied space. The scope of work includes, a new NMR suite, several new Tissue Culture labs, new reception area, and several new offices.


Avila Therapeutics, Bedford, MA
Lab and Office Renovation and Relocation

Avila Therapeutics is a fast-growing company, focused on covalent drug chemistry and the bonding of drugs to disease proteins to stop their activity. Avila selected the Richmond Group to assist with space planning and a search for a new facility, as the current location at 100 Beaver Street, Waltham, would not accommodate their growth past this summer. The location of 45 Wiggins Avenue in Bedford (formerly Vis-En Medical and fit-up by TRG Builders) was selected. TRG Builders is currently working on minor laboratory and ACF upgrades, as well as improving the interior office finishes. The 20,000 sf project is design/build and was completed in August.


 

Alexandria Real Estate Equities
400 Technology Square, Cambridge, MA

Richmond is working as Alexandria Real Estate Equities' design/builder to convert 400 Technology Square from a 9 story office building to a 10 story lab-ready core-and-shell. The 200,000 square foot project is slated to be USGBC LEED Certified and will provide tenants with best-in-class infrastructure typically found in ARE's Lab Assets. Construction will commence in Q3 2011 and be completed Q2 2012.


Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Cambridge, MA
Demolition project

The Richmond Group completed the demolition of a city block for Alexandria Real Estate's Alexandria Center in Kendall Square. The project consisted of divorcing twenty individual addresses from public utilities and demolishing all structures on the 2.6 acre site bordered by active public streets on all four sides. Richmond lead the engineering and construction efforts.


 

H3 Biomedicine Inc. Cambridge, MA

The Richmond Group is working with H3 Biomedicine Inc. on their new research space at 300 Technology Square. H3 Biomedicine will undertake a comprehensive approach to breakthrough oncology treatments based on two primary principles: 1) the genetics of patients' cancers can reveal drug targets tailored to their cancers and 2) the advances in modern chemistry enable the discovery of new classes of safe and effective drugs against these targets. H3 Biomedicine will achieve its goals through a unique relationship with the pharmaceutical company Eisai Inc.


Proteostasis Therapeutics, Inc. Cambridge, MAProteostasis Therapeutics
Expansion

Proteostasis Therapeutics is discovering and developing novel small molecule therapeutics designed to control the body's protein homeostasis, or Proteostasis Network. The Richmond Group is working with Alexandria Real Estate Equities on a fit-out of existing shell space into additional program space for PTI. Fit-out includes expanded chemistry area, tissue culture space, and ACF expansion, 5,000 sf,. Construction started April and finished September 2011.


215 First Street, Cambridge, MA
Spec Lab Expansion

The Richmond Group worked with Alexandria Real Estate Equities to fit-out, 7,500 sf of the final shelled floor at 215 First Street into spec lab.


Agios, Cambridge, MAAgios
Lab and Office Renovations and Expansion

The Richmond Group was selected by Agios to initially participate in evaluating options by establishing early conceptual budgeting and scheduling for the buildings under consideration. Agios, a private biopharmaceutical company at the forefront of cancer metabolism research, has chosen to remain and expand at 38 Sidney Street, Cambridge, MA. The Richmond Group was the design/builder for the 38,000 sf project which was completed in the summer of 2011.

 


CubistCubist Pharmaceuticals, Lexington, MA
Shell and Core Expansion

Cubist Pharmaceuticals, recently recognized as the #1 company by the “2009 Boston Globe 100”, is planning for their future expansion needs. Richmond has been retained by Cubist as the Program and Construction Manager for the strategic planning,design and construction for their proposed 110,000 square foot expansion at their Lexington, MA research facility. Detailed planning and preconstruction phase was completed summer of 2010 and construction is scheduled for completion early of 2012.
